The 9Z series chaff cutter is the workhorse of small livestock farms. It cuts dry straw, green grass, maize stalks and sorghum into short, uniform lengths that cattle, sheep and horses eat with far less waste.
A cast-iron flywheel with 3 hardened blades delivers smooth, stable cutting, while the long inclined feed tray keeps hands well away from the cutting plane. Cutting length is adjusted by changing the feed speed gear.
The machine can be driven by an electric motor or a small diesel engine, and both wheels and handles are optional so it can be carried between barns.
